My recent experiences at Beijing Express have been incredibly frustrating. While the food might be the reason people walk in, the management and staff behavior are exactly why they will stop coming back. This restaurant is badly managed and lacks any sense of consistency or customer service. Inconsistent Policies and "Hidden" Charges It seems like they come up with a new policy every time I visit. On my first visit, the chili oil was free. The second time, I was suddenly charged for it. By the third visit, the pricing became even more unreasonable. The most frustrating part was being charged a "hefty" amount just for asking to replace meat with tofu. In previous visits, this substitution was handled without an extra fee, but now they use it as an opportunity to overcharge. There is no transparency in their pricing, and it feels like they are making up rules as they go. Arrogant Staff and Poor Service The staff here are remarkably arrogant. They don't seem to care about talking to customers properly or addressing concerns about the shifting policies. Instead of being helpful or explaining the changes, they are dismissive and rude. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority for this team. Final Verdict Between the unpredictable "new policies" and the hostile attitude of the employees, I cannot recommend this place. There are plenty of other restaurants that value their customers and maintain consistent pricing. Save your money and go somewhere where you are treated with basic respect. PS - see the arrogant response from restaurant. Shows how they treat their customers. Good luck being the only Chinese restaurant in the world!
This place is a bit of a hidden gem. If you are a fan of chinese cuisine, dont be turned away by the dated exterior and appearance. The interior is comfortable and clean. The food is very good and the portions are more than enough for 1 person, in fact, 2 can usually eat from one meal.
Great food, quick service, food portion/price was perfect. We will stop in everytime we are in Birch Run.
We came to Frankenmuth from Detroit for Christmas and discovered this Chinese restaurant. The food was top notch. Even my five-year-old enjoyed the fried rice, which says a lot! Fresh, tasty, and comforting. A lovely find during our Christmas visit. Highly recommend.
Great food, the store is hidden away in a corner and honestly looks abandoned most days... but the prices are great and you can get enough food for a small family for less than most fast food places in the area. The employees are very friendly too, its quiet in store but the flavors more than make up for it!
Absolutely amazing, food is delicious and piping hot & fresh. People are so kind and friendly, 10/10 customer service and it was pretty fast. Definitely my favorite place to go now! Everything was so good I got the #2 combo the general tao and lomein it’s fantastic and my husband got the #1 orange chicken and rice and he loved his too! The crab ragoon is 10/10!
Beijing Express is very consistent. Hot, fresh food every time I order. They serve large portions at a decent price, and it is super convenient. I order ahead and pickup in their drive thru. I ordered the chicken vegetable stir fry, but asked that they add a little spice to it (mild +). It was perfectly cooked and delicious General Tso is my favorite dish, but the vegetable stir fry is also a good choice.
Went here for my birthday dinner when wangs bistro in Frankenmuth was closed. While the atmosphere isn't as "fancy" the food and servixs was fantastic. The gentleman st the register was just so happy and full of life, smiling and just made we feel so welcome. The wall behind the register has photos of different meal.options so you can see.wjat it will look like, which I love. The food came out promptly and was amazing! The chicken in the sesame chicken was not cheap tastinf, but was like real chunks of meat. I don't live very near to here, but do plan to make a trip to return. My husband and I both loved our meals. Generous portions, friendly staff. Again, the atmosphere w Isn't anything to be excited about, what where that is just slightly lacking, they more than make up for.
